Arsenal traveled to Norway for their penultimate game of the pre-season. With the Premier League season fast approaching, game time and match fitness are of the up most importance for Arsene Wenger’s team.
In the first-half, Arsenal seemed slightly dull and boring in their build up. Although Granit Xhaka, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey missed the game, Arsenal still fielded a strong team. Gabriel returned from tonsillitis to partner Krystian Bielik in defence, while Santi Cazorla captained the side.
The first-half was a slightly boring affair but Joel Campbel did score a goal, while Santi Cazorla had his penalty saved – the only blemish on his performance.
In the second-half however, the flood gates opened and Arsenal scored seven more goals, on route to an easy and impressive pre-season victory. Chuba Akpom once again scored to take his pre-season tally to three, while Alex Iwobi – who broke through last season – scored a brace. Also on the score sheet was Joel Campbell, who looked impressive.
