Arsene Wenger is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer. Olivier Giroud is not seen as the striker who can score upwards of 20 goals, something many fans identify as the main reason as to why Arsenal did not win the title last season.
Due to this, Wenger is on the hunt for a top-notch striker, and according to the Mirror’s Steve Stammers, is plotting a £75 million double transfer for Riyad Mahrez and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Alexandre Lacazette in the last few weeks, while reports in the last few days has speculated that Mahrez wants to move to Arsenal.
Mahrez was voted ‘PFA Player of the Year’ last season, while Lacazette has been a consistent goalscorer for Lyon, and both would be huge upgrades for Arsenal.
Arsenal are in dire need of a striker as they will miss Olivier Giroud for the first few games of the season, while Danny Welbeck will miss most of the season due to injury.

Both player will not come cheap, however, and will likely cost around €40 million each. Wenger is not usually the one to splash the cash to readily but given the circumstances, both players are needed.
