According to multiple reports, Arsenal are eyeing up a double swoop for Jason Denayer and Matthias Ginter.
The reports say that Arsenal are willing to spend £22m on the defensive duo, in a bid to improve Arsenal’s back line. It would also lower the average age of Arsenal’s defence, with both players being under 22-years-old. It is thought that Denayer would cost Arsenal in the region of £10m, with Ginter costing £12m.

Ginter was linked with a move to Arsenal before he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2014 from Freiburg. Denayer on the other hand has spent two seasons on loan at Celtic and most recently Galatasaray, and looks as though his chances in City’s first-team are very slim – especially if Leonardo Bonucci joins the sky blues this summer.

Ginter has played just 35 Bundesliga games in two years at Borussia Dortmund, so could be looking for a way out. Moreover, with the acquisition of Marc Bartra, it seems Ginter is further down Tuchel’s pecking order. Both players have reasonable experience and would provide a solid partner for Koscielny.
