Amidst rumours of a £20million move for Jamie Vardy, another striker has emerged as a target for Arsenal as the Express have reported that personal terms have been agreed with Antonio Colak.
The Hoffenheim forward spent last season on loan to FC Kaiserslautern, plying their trade in the second tier of German football.
The sporting director of the club described Colak as ‘a player who just brings the right mentality” as well as “strong in the air and has a quality eye for goal’.
It is well known that Arsène Wenger is conducting a search for a centre-forward this summer and it is believed that Colak has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time. A deal for the 22-year-old could prove shrewd business to aid a strike-force that misfired last season.

A fee is yet to be agreed for the Croatian who will be still under contract until 2017 and with seven goals in 25 appearances last season, he would provide effective cover for Olivier Giroud who struggled towards the end of Arsenal’s campaign.
As Danny Welbeck will be ruled out for 9 months with a knee injury, it is clear that Arsenal need to bolster their squad with another attacking signing, following the deal for Granit Xhaka.
