Arsenal have officially sealed a deal for Borussia Moenchengladbach and Switzerland midfield boss Granit Xhaka, in a move that has been long-awaited for supporters of the north London club.
The fans have been waiting for a consistent defensive midfield machine to join the club since Patrick Vieira left, and it seems as though they have found their man to finally be a worthy replacement of the club legend.

It is the first time in over a decade that there will be competition for the starting spot at holding midfield, and with two first XI-quality players in Francis Coquelin and Xhaka going at it week-to-week in training, the club now has gone from no depth to an embarrassment of riches in that position.
The club paid an undisclosed fee, said to be around £35million, for the ‘Gladbach captain, and Arsene Wenger is getting an experienced player who has been the main leader of his club.
At only 23-years-old, the Swiss international has played in the Champions League and led his club to finish in high positions consistently in the Bundesliga.

Xhaka is the world class holding midfielder Arsenal have been looking for for years, and he could answer Gooners’ prayers if he performs well in the upcoming season. If supporters want a sample of Xhaka in the meantime, make sure to watch Switzerland in EURO 2016 to see what the man can do.
