It’s over. Arsenal’s rollercoaster of a season is finally over. And what a way to end it!
The Gunners finished the season with a deserved 4-0 home win against Aston Villa. Giroud struck three times, and Arteta completed the goal-fest just a few seconds away from the full-time whistle.
Arsenal have clinched second place behind champions Leicester and have concluded their shaky season on a high.
Some fans might complain that today’s performance was a poor one and that the Gunners could’ve gotten much more from it. But, the end result is the best possible scenario anyone would’ve hoped for today: four goals, a clean sheet, and anchoring our place as the Premier League runner-ups.
Most importantly, the Gunners have beaten all the odds and finished above this Tottenham – a side who until recently were widely regarded as the only remaining competition for Leicester for the Premier League title.
So what have we learned from our last game of the season?
