Arsenal secured a 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday in a match that by and large seemed as though the Gunners hadn’t turned up.
For much of the match, City dominated and always looked threatening in attack. Arsenal were not at their free-flowing best and looked like a team that had already given up on the rest of the season, and were simply going through the motions.
An injury to Danny Welbeck meant that Jack Wilshere earned some more minutes on the pitch but was unable to contribute massively to the result.
The result against Manuel Pellegrini’s side means that the Gunners have all but confirmed their place in the UEFA Champions League next season, and with their final game of the season being Aston Villa, there is little doubt that the Gunners will be plying their trade in Europe next season.
Despite the timid performance, who do you think was Arsenal’s ‘Man of the Match’?
