Arsenal under-21s are set to play their play-off semi-final against Blackburn Rovers under-21s, after failing to secure automatic promotion.
The north London youngsters finished second in Division Two behind Derby County after failing to beat West Bromwich Albion on the final day of the season and because of the result, have been entered into a play-off style competition to determine the second team to gain promotion.

Arsenal will take on Blackburn in a one-legged semi-final at the Emirates Stadium on 3rd May, giving Chris Willock and co. the home advantage, while Swansea City will take on Aston Villa before the two victors move on to the final.
The Gunners were in a comfortable position and should have secured promotion but failure to pick up points against Swansea City and the Baggies after beating champions Derby meant that they have had to settle for a place in the play-offs.

Good news could come in the form of Santi Cazorla and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain however, with both players likely to feature as they make their senior returns from fitness.
