Arsenal travel to the north East to take on Sam Allardyce’s relegation-threatened Sunderland, after picking up a good three points over West Bromwich Albion on Thursday evening.
The fixture, played because of a game in hand, saw the home side beat the team from the Midlands by two goals to nil with both strikes coming from Alexis Sanchez, with the Chilean reaching the impressive heights of last season in recent games.
As a result of his brace, the 27-year-old is now on par with Olivier Giroud, scoring 12 Premier League games despite missing much of the campaign with injury.
Sunderland, on the other hand, go into the weekend in decent form after picking up an important win over rivals Norwich City and losing just one in their last six.
Allardyce’s side are just one point from safety however, and could climb out of the bottom three if other results go their way and they do the job themselves.
Will this be the XI to try and stop Jermain Defoe and company?
