Arsenal have made a breakthrough in talks with the Diamond Football Academy to sign Samuel Chukwueze.
According to allnigeriasoccer.com, the 16-year-old centre forward has expressed his desire to join the north London side this summer and despite the wishes of club president Martin Apugo for Chukwueze to not leave, he admitted that the starlet is set to join Arsenal in the coming days.
It was believed that the two clubs had a difficult period agreeing a price after Arsenal claimed they only wanted to pay a portion of the price and the rest of it when the 16-year-old turned 18 and was eligible to sign a professional contract.

Chukwueze is still joining Arsenal, he will travel any moment from now to start training with them.
I didn’t want him to go to Arsenal, wanted him to go somewhere else but he said he’ll be happy if he goes to Arsenal.

Arsenal have reportedly recently brought in Chukwueze’s teammate Kelechi Nwakali to the club – with both players impressing for Nigeria at the under-17s World Cup in Chile last summer, leading the African nation to glory at the international tournament for a record fourth time.
Nwakali was awarded Player of the Tournament for his impressive efforts while Chukwueze scored three goals in five games.
