Sources in South America have told ESPN that Arsenal are tracking Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising and exciting talents in South America, after he was introduced on the scene with Boca last season.
The Argentinian-born youngster has come through the youth system at Boca and is tipped by many in South America as being one of the next best midfielders in the world.
The Gunners are not the only team to be monitoring Bentancur, as some of Europeans biggest teams including Real Madrid and Juventus are also keen on the Uruguayan teenager.

Sources close to Boca have told ESPN that Arsenal representatives have already been sent out to watch Bentancur, in Boca’s 3-1 over Bolivar in the Argentine Primera División. Bentancur will also be watched by Arsenal scouts when Boca play Tigre on Monday.
Boca are hoping that they can keep hold of the young holding midfield player, whose father stated that his son was happy playing with Boca and that he is extremely appreciative of the opportunities his son has been given at the club.
However, the Argentinian club are bracing themselves for offers for Bentancur in the summer.
