Arsenal star Wojciech Szczesny – currently on loan at Roma, has admitted that he could stay at the Italian side, amid reports linking him with a permanent move to the side he has spent the entirety of the current season at. The Pole has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Poland international has been a permanent fixture in the starting XI for Roma, impressing as the Italian side bid to win Serie A but face the tough challenge of overshadowing in-form Juventus.
Szczesny, speaking to Roma Radio, as reported by the London Evening Standard, admitted that he is focused on playing football.

Will I stay at Roma? For me, football always comes first. I have the confidence of everyone here.
When you have the trust of your teammates, the Coach and the fans, as well as playing every Sunday, then that can only be for the best.
Obviously it’s not just thanks to me, but everyone who has helped me.

The goalkeeper has been at Arsenal since 2006 when he made the youth transfer from Legia Warsaw, going on to become the first-team’s no.1 goalkeeper. However, a number of mistakes both on and off the pitch led to Arsene Wenger losing confidence in Szczesny, subsequently signing both David Ospina and Petr Cech.
