Italian publication TUTTOmercatoWEB are reporting that Arsenal are set to beat Manchester United to the signing of Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman before the transfer window opens in the summer.
A host of Premier League clubs are rumoured to have been keeping a close eye on the youngster, who has netted four times in sixteen appearances for the Championship side.

Lookman, a former Waterloo FC youth player, did sign a new contract with Charlton in January which lasts until 2020. However, it is believed that the Championship club are still looking to sell the youngster in the summer, with Arsenal winning the race for his signature.

Crystal Palace and Tottenham were amongst the Premier League teams looking to sign the talented forward but Arsenal could seal the deal before the transfer window opens in July.
