Arsenal legend David Rocastle died 15 years ago today.
The club legend, nicknamed ‘Rocky’, passed away on 31st March 2001 at the tender age of 33-years-old because of an aggressive cancer, but everything that he left behind lives on to this day.
A winner of two First Division trophies as well as the League Cup, the ex-England international became one of the most recognisable faces in the club’s history and has his name placed firmly across the Emirates Stadium for people to remember him alongside other Arsenal greats.
Rocky was a boyhood Arsenal supporter and came through the ranks at the club, going on to become a cult hero and one of the most loved faces.
Spending the majority of his playing career at Arsenal, when he left the Gunners in 1992, Rocky played for Leeds United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Norwich City, Hull City and finished his playing career at Sabah in Malaysia.
