In a recent broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live, Robbie Savage dismissed the fact that Arsene Wenger is irreplaceable at as manager of Arsenal, and believes that the club should look at Southampton Ronald Koeman, who the Welshman was not shy in praising.
Koeman, 52, currently manages fellow Premier League side Southampton, who are currently sitting in 7th place after an impressive run of games since their 4-0 thrashing over Arsenal on Boxing Day. Beating West Ham United, Manchester United and drawing 0-0 with the Gunners at the Emirates.
Speaking on 5 Live, Savage claimed that Koeman is a ‘great manager’.

You’ve always got to think, if he [Wenger] was not to be the manager, who could be his replacement?
I look at Ronald Koeman at Southampton. I think he’s a fantastic, young manager with great ideas who plays great football.
So I think there are replacements out there for Arsene Wenger.
Koeman has managed an array of teams including Ajax, Benfica and Valencia. The Dutchman has also been the assistant manager for his national side, as well as Barcelona. As a manager, he has won eight trophies including the Dutch Eredivisie. He did this twice with Ajax and once with PSV, who are notorious for producing Manchester United winger Memphis Depay.

Other favourites for the Arsenal job include Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Joachim Low (Germany), Frank de Boer (Ajax), Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City) and club legend Dennis Bergkamp (Ajax Assistant manager).
