Monday Night Football promises to be a pre-Christmas belter.
Warming us up before the food and *alcohol* will be Manchester City travelling to the Emirates in the biggest test of Arsenal’s title credentials so far this season.
Undoubtedly, pundits and experts will be looking to deduce conclusions of where the title will be heading come May, but in truth, the result of the game will hold little bearing.
That isn’t to say the winners will not hold a psychological advantage, but the way this season has played out, both teams will not get too elated or downbeat either way. There’s every chance points will be dropped in the following sequence of games that come thick and fast, let alone before the two favourites to lift the trophy meet again in the penultimate game of the season.
Having said all that, Arsenal will certainly not want to be dropping points on home soil and, the team which does end up winners will more often than not be the team which performs best in the mini-league of contenders.
So, in setting up the fixture of the weekend, here’s who we think Arsene Wenger will select to do the business.
