Arsene Wenger has hinted that he will utilise Aaron Ramsey in his favoured position with Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin sidelined long-term.
The Wales international has been playing in an unnatural right-wing role, with license to roam inside and in between the lines, due to Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla’s suitability in central midfield for the last year.
Those two struck up a successful partnership which relocated the Wales international out wide.

Ramsey made it clear he preferred the box-to-box midfield position and Wenger said despite not finalising his plans yet, he might grant the 24-year-old his wish.
It is a possibility [for Ramsey], yes. For him it is a good opportunity if he plays there, that is where he prefers to play. I can use [Calum Chambers there too] if needed, he can play there.
Chambers played there for the under-21s this week but would be a surprise choice even with a shortage of options.

The Gunners will expect to bounce back against Sunderland on Saturday having dropped points against similar opposition in recent weeks.
Defeat at West Brom and a draw at Norwich is not title-chasing form, however, Wenger says it demonstrates just how difficult the Premier League is.
It is very difficult [against these teams] and we have just seen that at Norwich and West Brom, where we had about 70 per cent possession in the two games. In the two games together we had four shots against us and conceded three goals, so that shows it is difficult. We face a team on Saturday that has recently taken points, is well organised and has gone to a very strong defensive system under Sam Allardyce. They have gained some confidence in their system so we expect a tough game.

The Wearsiders held Arsenal to a draw at the Emirates last season to guarantee survival. Wenger, though, is relieved to be playing at home this weekend.
It is important [to be back at the Emirates] because we feel strong at home and we have the support of our fans. We have had two very physical, very difficult away games and we were a bit unlucky. The comfort to play at home is important.
