Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed the various talents of Ross Barkley, ahead of the meeting between the Gunners and Everton this weekend at the Emirates Stadium.
The Liverpool-born 21-year-old has been able to nail down a regular spot in Robert Martinez’s side over the last 18 months and has started the 2015/16 campaign well for both club and country – scoring two for Everton and the same amount for England.
With Barkley showing so much potential at such a young age, Wenger has claimed in his pre-match news conference that the England international has shown all the makings of a modern footballer, due to both his physical and technical qualities.

He has massive potential because he has a good combination of technical qualities and physical qualities.
He has the absolute power of the modern player and he’s certainly one of the most promising.
The Arsenal boss then went on to discuss the factor of Barkley playing for England from such a young age.
He’s 21 years old and is a regular player in the national team. Such an early run is always a special talent.

Ross Barkley and Everton travel to the Emirates on Saturday, where they face Arsenal and kick-off is at 17:30 pm BST, with the home side looking to win their fourth Premier League game in a row.
