Arsenal U19s were victorious in their recent UEFA Youth League game against Bayern Munich and their head of youth, Andries Jonker believes that patience was the key to the result.
It was a brace from Alex Iwobi which ensured that the youngsters maintained their 100% start to their Youth League campaign at Meadow Park.

Reflecting on the performance, Jonker said that Arsenal started well.
Bayern had to beat us, basically we were the better team overall but Bayern were more dangerous in the first half so it was a matter of patience.
It was not easy, but we had a good start at the beginning in the first 20 minutes which was okay. We were the better team without creating a lot of chances but after that we made it difficult for ourselves.
What makes the win even more impressive is the fact that numerous key players were absent due to being at the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Jonker is fully understanding of the talent he has at his disposal.
We are very aware we have fantastic players in this age group. One 15-year-old boy up top and nobody is seeing the difference. We have good players that can handle this level and this is a good feeling.
Next up for the U19s in the Youth League is a return trip to Bayern Munich on the 4th November.
