Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was delighted with his team’s commitment and killer instinct in their 3-0 win away at Watford.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey sealed the three points in the second half after a resilient performance from the Premier League newcomers.
Patience was key for the Gunners coming up against a Watford team who until today had only conceded one goal at home and talking to the media post-match, Wenger admitted that he was impressed with his sides clinical edge to wrap up the win.

To beat Watford you have to be completely committed to the game. We faced a Watford team that was well organised and knew exactly what they wanted to do.
They were very physical in the challenge and very strong in the challenges and very direct. These three things together, it took us a while to get on top of that.
In the second half, the fatigue coming in, Watford came in less in the challenges and we got the ball quicker in transition and were much more dangerous. When we scored the first goal, I like the fact we continued to attack and got a convincing win.
Having seen sides around them pick up maximum points prior to kick-off, the pressure was on to keep up and not undo the hard work from beating Manchester United.
Alexis opened the scoring, and Wenger said he considered resting the Chilean after his international exploits.

I did [think about it]. Yesterday in the training session he looked quite sharp and the medical people told me he has no problem at all, then I thought I would test if he is ready and if he was not ready I would take him out.
But sometimes it is easier to start the game and take the players off than when you go into the game a little bit tired. So I decided to go for that.
Next up is the daunting task of facing Bayern Munich and red-hot striker Robert Lewandowski. Wenger, though, will decide whether to leave out Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
There is no obvious reason to change completely the team. Maybe one or two, I do not know yet.
We will have to see how everybody recovers. I could rest a little bit Ozil and Sanchez. We have, of course, to put pace into this game and play against a big team.
We want to make something special against Bayern Munich as it is the only way we can keep in the race.
Wenger confirmed Gabriel, who missed the win at Vicarage Road, should be fit for Tuesday.
