After the thrashing of Manchester United on Sunday, Alexis Sanchez has unsurprisingly been praised by both supporters and fans. One of those who’s awarding the Chilean forward is Gunners ‘keeper Petr Cech. The club’s number 33 has praised the ex-Barcelona attacker’s energy and enthusiasm.

Alexis scored two goals at the Emirates against Louis Van Gaal’s side, one being a tidy back-heel finish from close range; the other a quality finish into the top corner from just inside the box.
Those two goals made them his fifth and sixth in the space of a week.
Czech Republic international, Cech, told reporters that the believes the 26-year-old Chilean is adjusting back to the Premier League, after a long break representing his country in the Copa America – in which he scored the winning penalty in the final.
It’s always hard for the players when you have the Copa America, he won it, he was there for a really long time, didn’t have much break and then came back and needed to start again.

Alexis scored his first goals of the season with a hat-trick at the King Power Stadium, helping the Gunners win against a then unbeaten, Leicester City side managed by Claudio Ranieri.
You could see that everybody from the Copa America had a slow start, in other teams and competitions as well.
We’re pleased that he’s back with his energy, with his enthusiasm and you can see that he feels confident and with performances like that, it’s great for the team.

Cech carried on to reference the weekend’s victory over Manchester United, saying that Arsenal had the right intensity to win the tie.
We put in the right intensity and the first goal helped.
Once you go one up, you can get the game under control. What was good was that we searched for the second and third goals and they came pretty quickly.
We managed to get ourselves the advantage and I think we did remarkably well to control the game afterwards.
Arsenal dominated the opening twenty minutes of the match, scoring two before ten minutes had been played – courtesy of Alexis and Mesut Ozil, but failed to score after going 3-0 up on the twenty-minute mark, despite an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain chip clipping the crossbar.
Cech also talked about the Gunner’s defending in their recent victory.
Every clean sheet counts.
There was an important save right at the end of the first half, which I’m pleased with.
The whole team defended very well as a unit against Manchester United and we deserved the clean sheet.
