Arsenal were undone by Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday evening, as the north London side found out just why the Croatian’s have gone so long unbeaten, adding the Gunners to that long list of team’s who’ve failed to beat Zagreb.
Arsene Wenger’s side dominated the early proceedings, but went one nil down after 25 minutes, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain putting the ball into the back of his own net through a harsh deflection inside the six-yard box.
Things went from bad to worse five minutes before the break, as a frustrated Olivier Giroud was sent off for a second bookable offence, and less than 15 minutes into the second period, the Gunners went two down due to a Junior Fernandes header from a corner.
Arsenal equalised in the 78th minute through Theo Walcott’s well-taken finish, but it was too little too late by then.
What five things did we learn from the game?
