Following Arsene Wenger’s failure to meet the needs of what many people thought the club were in need of – a new centre midfielder, the club is now leading the race for the signature of Youri Tielemans, according to Squawka.
Only 18, he is already highly rated in Europe and has impressed for Belgian champions, Anderlecht.

Last year, in the prestigious UEFA Champions League, Arsenal faced his side in the group stages. The youngster was vital in the Belgian side’s performance, as they overturned a 3-0 deficit at the Emirates Stadium to draw 3-3.
Midway through the previous campaign, Francis Coquelin emerged into the first team at the holding midfielder spot but has still yet to win some fans over, with many calling for the arrival of a more established player. If Youri Tielemans were to join the north London side, he would not necessarily be the man many will want, but will certainly prove to be a great signing for the future – something that Arsene Wenger is well known for.
