Arsene Wenger talks Liverpool game & use of technology

Arsene Wenger has spoken to the media about last Monday’s game against Liverpool as well as the advancement of technology in the modern game.

The Arsenal boss described how his sides defence “suffered” in the first half against Liverpool, suggesting the second half was an improvement and that the Gunners “didn’t give any chances away”. When looking at the chances created to converted, Arsene Wenger admitted his side are suffering from “a little deficit”.

The Frenchman went on to say that his side were now at their best, when he was asked about how long it would be before his team reaches top level: “I think we are there now. Three or four games, that’s what you need.”

Arsenal were judged to have unfairly had an Aaron Ramsey goal struck off for offside against Liverpool and Wenger agrees with the Welshman, who claimed that the sooner the FA brings in technology, the better: “I am convinced it will come in and that the next step will be the offside rule because it is maybe the easiest one to bring in. There were two examples last week. I believe it will happen on the demand of the referee.

“The sooner [it is brought in] the better. Tomorrow morning would have my signature! Not because we were punished for that goal [against Liverpool] but because we want justice and the right decisions to be made.
