Following Gedion Zelalem’s great performances last season, he’s made a name for himself as an upcoming star. The youngster made his Arsenal debut last season in the FA Cup against Coventry City and also was brought on during a UEFA Champions League match.
Earlier this summer, he represented USA at this year’s edition of the U20 World Cup, where he impressed in New Zealand, having previously represented Germany at youth level.

During the Gunners’ pre-season, he was included in all four matches in Singapore. He showed a moment of magic when he sent in a pinpoint pass to Walcott, where he was credited with the assist. Now, he’s moving to Glasgow to play with Rangers until January, but could stay longer if he can impress at Ibrox.
On Sunday, Rangers defeated Hibernian 1-0 in the Scottish Championship, where Zelalem watched his new side secure another win, making it six wins out of six in all competitions.
Mark Warburton, the Rangers manager, spoke about Zelalem to the BBC: “He will be training with us tomorrow and will be part of the squad.”
Warburton continued to express his pleasure on the new arrival: “I am delighted to get hold of him. I’d like to welcome him on board. He is another young, very talented player.”

Zelalem is the third English Premier League player to join Rangers on loan, after Tottenham players Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball.
The 18-year-old hopes to impress in Scotland, so he can push for a regular spot in the Arsenal squad this time next season.
