According to French news outlet L’Équipe, Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette has been told to either sign a new contract, or leave the club.
The Gunners are on alert after being linked for a long time with the 24-year-old this summer. Interest from other clubs was snubbed after Lyon remained certain that their hitman will extend his current deal.
However, it seems that the French club have ran out of patience and are becoming increasingly annoyed with Lacazette’s bad behavior this pre-season and are definitely not impressed with his lacklustre efforts thus far.
The Frenchman has had a fantastic season in the previous campaign, netting 27 goals in the Ligue 1, attracting the interest of many top European elite clubs.

L’Équipe claim that Lyon have given Lacazette one of two options: Either he signs a contract extension or he continues his football career elsewhere.
Arsenal are not the only team interested in acquiring Lacazette’s services. Rivals Manchester United are on the lookout as well after not taking the option to purchase Radamel Falcao and allowing Robin Van Persie to sign for Fenerbahce.
With the Benzema saga fading, Wenger should be adamant on signing Lacazette if he wants his team to challenge for the Premier League title, and Lacazette could turn out to be worth every penny paid for him.
