Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has spoken out about his recent frustrations at the lack of playing time he’s currently getting at Arsenal. The 34 year old’s contract was automatically extended for a year after he had activated an option in the deal, but since doing so has not featured for the side, even from the bench. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Rosicky said:
“Since the moment Arsene Wenger used the option in my contract [to keep Rosicky for another season], I haven’t been even on the bench.
“I am laughing but it’s not funny. It’s frustrating but I am a professional. Even if you lose your place, you must be still prepared because the situation can change.”
The Czech Republic international made only 15 league appearances for Arsenal last season, scoring two goals. The competition at Arsenal is also heavy with the emergence of Frenchman Francis Coquelin and the return of Jack Wilshere adding to the already mega talented plethora of options for Arsene Wenger to choose from.
