Laurent Koscienly has hailed Arsenal fans as an important factor in the Gunner’s recent surge in form.
The French centre-back has been a stalwart in the side since Christmas and wins at Manchester United and Manchester City amongst others have seen Arsenal reach the upper echelons of the League. Laurent acknowledged that the team haven’t always been at their best despite only 2 losses since Christmas but feels the fans are always behind them.
Speaking to Arsenal.com he said:
“During the season you can’t play well every time, every game over 90 minutes. Sometimes you are tired or your opponent is better than you, so I know that it’s very important [for the fans] to be behind us because they can help the team.”
“When you have fans who sing in the 20 minutes that you know you are in difficult situations, it’s good to hear and it helps you to give more.
“It helps you do the defensive things to help your team-mates. It’s important – the fans are a big part [of success] for us and the final result.”
Meanwhile good news has emanated from the club with regards to the FA Cup final. While many will miss out on Wembley tickets the club has announced a live screening at the Emirates on the day of the final. Ticket news for the event will be realeased in due course.
