Arsenal tickets guide: Membership, ballots, Ticket Exchange and away tickets

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Arsenal tickets are mainly distributed through the club’s membership ballot system, Ticket Exchange, season tickets and official hospitality. Buying a membership does not guarantee a match ticket, and high-demand fixtures can still be difficult to access.

For 2026/27, Arsenal continue to use separate Silver and Red member ballots for men’s home matches, with unsuccessful applicants then receiving access to Ticket Exchange. Away tickets are sold through a points-based priority system.

For season-ticket renewals, waiting-list rules and utilisation requirements, see our separate Arsenal season tickets guide.

Arsenal state that the ballot system is intended to give eligible members an equal opportunity to apply during a specified registration window rather than rewarding whoever reaches the ticket site first.

Do you need Arsenal membership to buy tickets?

For ordinary men’s first-team home tickets, membership is generally required.

Arsenal’s official guidance says home tickets are sold through the membership ballot system.

The main adult option is Red Membership, which costs £38 for 2026/27 and gives access to home match ballots and Ticket Exchange.

Other memberships include:

  • Silver Membership
  • Cannon Membership for supporters aged 17–18
  • Junior Gunners for younger supporters
  • Gold Membership for season-ticket holders

Silver Membership is not normally something a new supporter can simply choose.

Red Members are automatically placed in the queue for progression to Silver while they maintain their membership, and Silver numbers are capped. Arsenal currently lists Silver Membership at £59 per season.

Does Arsenal membership guarantee a ticket?

No.

This is one of the most important points for new supporters.

Membership gives you the right to apply for tickets, not a guaranteed seat.

For each eligible home fixture, Arsenal open a ballot-registration period. Members can apply individually or in a group, provided everyone meets the relevant membership requirements.

If successful, the payment card supplied during registration is charged and the ticket is issued digitally.

If unsuccessful, the supporter can then become eligible to use Ticket Exchange.

Arsenal’s own ticket FAQ makes clear that membership does not guarantee match access.

How does the Arsenal ticket ballot work?

The basic process is:

  1. Hold a valid Arsenal membership.
  2. Wait for the ballot window for the relevant fixture.
  3. Enter individually or with eligible members from your network.
  4. Choose preferred price bands where available.
  5. Supply payment-card details.
  6. Wait for the ballot result.
  7. Successful applicants are charged automatically.
  8. Unsuccessful applicants can then receive Ticket Exchange access.

There is no advantage to entering the ballot immediately when it opens.

Arsenal says supporters have the same chance whether they apply at the beginning or end of the registration period.

Members applying together are processed as a group, so the whole group either succeeds or fails rather than some members receiving seats and others missing out.

What is the difference between Silver and Red ballots?

Silver Members receive a separate allocation and ballot before Red Members.

Once the Silver ballot has been completed, unsuccessful Silver Members can receive priority access to Ticket Exchange.

After the Red ballot is completed, unsuccessful eligible Red Members can also access the exchange.

This means Silver status generally offers better access than Red membership.

The difference can be substantial for high-demand matches.

For Arsenal’s first two league home games of 2026/27, the club reported Silver ballot success rates of 42%, compared with 12% against Coventry and 11% against Chelsea for Red Members. Those figures vary by match and should not be treated as permanent probabilities.

What is Arsenal Ticket Exchange?

Ticket Exchange is Arsenal’s official resale platform.

When eligible ticket holders cannot attend, their seats can be returned and made available for other members to purchase.

For men’s first-team matches, access is initially restricted to members who entered the relevant ballot and were unsuccessful.

Ticket Exchange can therefore provide another opportunity after a failed ballot.

Availability changes constantly as supporters list seats, so a fixture showing no availability at one moment does not necessarily mean no more seats will appear.

For 2026/27, Arsenal says Ticket Exchange closes three hours before kick-off.

Can you buy Arsenal tickets without membership?

There are limited official routes.

Arsenal says the official options for supporters without membership are:

  • official hospitality packages
  • purchases through an authorised ticket agent

Ordinary general-admission men’s tickets are otherwise distributed through Arsenal’s membership system.

This is important because many third-party websites claim to sell Arsenal tickets.

Arsenal explicitly warns supporters against purchasing through unofficial sellers, resale websites, social-media accounts or touts because tickets can be invalid, duplicated or sold unlawfully.

How much do Arsenal tickets cost?

There is no single Arsenal ticket price.

Match-by-match pricing depends on factors including:

  • competition
  • opposition
  • match category
  • seating area
  • concession eligibility

For 2026/27 Arsenal use several men’s match categories.

The existing A, B and C categories remain, while Arsenal have introduced:

  • B+ for two Premier League fixtures
  • A+ potentially for selected Champions League quarter-finals or semi-finals

Arsenal says prices for categories A, B and C have remained unchanged from the previous season.

Rather than permanently reproducing every price in this guide, supporters should check the relevant match’s official ticket page before entering a ballot.

That keeps this page useful without becoming inaccurate every time Arsenal revise individual ticket bands.

How do Arsenal digital tickets work?

Successful tickets are delivered through Arsenal’s digital ticketing system.

For 2026/27, supporters need the latest digital pass available through the Ticket Hub in the Arsenal app.

Once activated, the pass sits inside Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and updates with eligible tickets.

Arsenal says a digital pass can only be active on one device at a time.

Supporters should therefore download and check their ticket before travelling to Emirates Stadium rather than trying to resolve account issues at the turnstiles.

Our permanent Emirates Stadium guide covers travel, nearby stations and matchday access in greater detail.

How do Arsenal away tickets work?

Away tickets are significantly harder to obtain.

Arsenal use an away-points system for men’s first-team fixtures.

Tickets initially go on sale to Season Ticket and Travel Club members with the highest number of credits before the threshold is reduced through subsequent sales windows if tickets remain.

Most high-demand away fixtures sell out before reaching Red or Silver Members.

Each eligible competitive away match attended normally earns the supporter an Away Credit, excluding neutral-venue fixtures.

The system rewards supporters with an established history of attending away matches.

That means someone joining Arsenal membership today should not expect immediate access to the most popular away fixtures.

Why are Arsenal away tickets so difficult to get?

The main reason is supply.

Premier League clubs receive relatively small away allocations compared with Arsenal’s overall supporter base.

That produces extremely high demand for games such as:

  • Tottenham away
  • Chelsea away
  • Manchester United away
  • Liverpool away
  • Champions League knockouts

Supporters with the highest away-point totals receive first priority.

Only if a fixture fails to sell through those groups does it reach members with fewer points.

Can Arsenal tickets be transferred to another person?

Eligible season-ticket holders can use Arsenal’s official Ticket Transfer service.

That allows a ticket to be passed to another supporter rather than leaving the seat unused.

Ticket Transfer is distinct from Ticket Exchange:

Ticket Transfer
→ send the ticket to another eligible supporter.

Ticket Exchange
→ put the seat back on sale through Arsenal.

Arsenal have retained both services without additional supporter fees for 2026/27.

When should you apply for Arsenal tickets?

There is no need to sit refreshing the website at the exact second a ballot opens.

But supporters do need to know the relevant registration deadline.

The safest routine is:

  • check Arsenal’s ticket-information page once a fixture is confirmed
  • note the ballot dates
  • make sure every member in your group is correctly connected through My Network
  • ensure payment details are valid
  • enter before the window closes
  • check Ticket Exchange if unsuccessful

Fixture dates can also move because of television or European scheduling.

Our Arsenal fixtures and results page is useful for tracking the wider schedule, but supporters should always check Arsenal’s official ticket page before making travel arrangements.

How to avoid fake Arsenal tickets

High demand makes Arsenal fixtures an obvious target for ticket scams.

Supporters should avoid:

  • social-media sellers
  • screenshots of digital tickets
  • unofficial resale websites
  • direct bank transfers to strangers
  • sellers promising guaranteed entry without explaining the official ticket route

Arsenal says unofficially purchased tickets can be fake, duplicated or invalid and may result in the supporter being refused entry.

The safest approach is simple:

buy through Arsenal or an officially authorised route.
