# Arsenal transfer news: Bournemouth make Eli Junior Kroupi decision ahead of January window

Arsenal have been dealt a potential setback in their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi. The Cherries are reportedly refusing to consider a January sale.

The Gunners are not alone in keeping an eye on the 20-year-old after he returned from injury. Manchester United have also made enquiries, and Tottenham remains a strong possibility after chasing him over the summer.

However, Bournemouth are keen to keep Kroupi at the Vitality Stadium following the January transfer window. His return will provide new head coach Marco Rose with another attacking threat. Helping to improve their position in the Premier League.

This could mean that Arsenal will have to plan a long-term pursuit of the player.

## **Arsenal monitor Kroupi after impressive Premier League debut season**

Kroupi provided a positive impression in his debut season in English football. Becoming one of the most exciting young forwards in the Premier League.

Overall, he hit the target on 13 occasions in the previous league campaign. Attracting the attention of a number of top European clubs.

Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham were among the clubs that were said to keep following his progress over the summer months.

However, he was unable to make the move after suffering an injury to his foot which required surgery. Kroupi has now returned to action. He came on as a late substitute in Bournemouth’s 3-0 victory against Manchester United last weekend.

Arsenal have again been linked. The Gunners are now known to be one of a number of clubs to have asked about the player’s injury and fitness ahead of improving their attacking options.

Tottenham are also interested, having had previous interest in signing him. There is no real suggestion an offer has been made.

## **Bournemouth stance could force Arsenal to wait**

Bournemouth are the main problem for Arsenal, with Kroupa said to be unwilling to leave the Cherries in January. He is seen as an important asset for them in the second half of the season.

However, Rose’s side has had a difficult start to the season so far. Having him at his disposal could prove to be vital. The forward can bring goals and quality into the attack. Bournemouth believes it will help change their fortunes in the coming months.

They will also look to keep their attacking unit intact. Players such as Rayan and Marcus Tavernier are ones that Bournemouth will look to keep hold of. Alex Scott may also catch the eye of other clubs ahead of the New Year.

Bournemouth will be desperate to avoid losing a number of key players in one transfer window.

That stance leaves Arsenal facing a difficult decision if they want to pursue Kroupi. The Gunners can continue monitoring his performances and fitness, but a January move currently looks unlikely.

The forward’s return to regular football will give interested clubs another opportunity to assess his progress. Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United could therefore remain attentive to developments as the season continues.

Bournemouth are currently in the best position and Arsenal might have to wait until the summer to see how the Cherries will hold up when faced with losing one of their most promising young players.
