Vivienne Lia Returns To Arsenal Following Hammarby Loan Spell

Vivienne Lia has returned to Arsenal after completing her loan spell with Swedish side Hammarby.

The 19-year-old winger joined the Damallsvenskan club in February and made 12 appearances during her time in Sweden.

Arsenal confirmed Lia’s return, noting that she scored once and provided one assist for Hammarby.

Lia had already spent the first half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Nottingham Forest in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2. She also made 12 appearances during that spell.

The winger signed her first professional contract with Arsenal in January 2025. Her two loan moves have now given her a useful run of senior football away from north London.

Arsenal Get Lia Back After Senior Minutes

Lia’s return gives Arsenal another young player to assess before the new campaign.

She has built up experience in two different leagues over the past year. That matters for a winger still trying to turn academy promise into a clearer senior route.

ReadArsenal recently covered Arsenal Women’s permanent signing of Selina Cerci, which added another attacking option to Renee Slegers’ squad.

Lia now comes back into a competitive forward group. Her next step may depend on pre-season minutes and how Arsenal shape their wide options.

Another loan could still make sense if regular games are not available. For now, Arsenal have a young winger back with more senior experience than when she left.
