Arsenal’s 2026/27 Premier League title defence will quickly move beyond the Coventry City opener.
Chelsea and Liverpool both land inside the champions’ first ten league fixtures, giving Mikel Arteta an early test of rhythm and authority.
The official Premier League fixture list confirms Arsenal start at home to newly promoted Coventry City on Friday 21 August at 20:00 BST.
Arteta’s side then travel to Aston Villa before hosting Chelsea on Saturday 5 September.
Arsenal then go to Sunderland and Brighton before a three-week league gap. They return with Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Everton in October.
The first major away test against Liverpool follows at Anfield on Saturday 31 October.
The Opening Run Is Not Gentle
The opener against Coventry is the headline date.
