Arsenal lifted the iconic Premier League trophy on Sunday afternoon after beating Crystal Palace in their final domestic match of the season, and William Saliba was certainly in fine voice during the celebrations.

The Gunners finished the campaign with a victory, courtesy of goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke. This saw Mikel Arteta’s team finish on 85 points, seven clear of second-placed Manchester City.

Wild celebrations ensued on the pitch and in the away end at Selhurst Park, while the streets of North London erupted with emotion once again, following Tuesday night’s joyous carnival mood outside the Emirates Stadium.

What William Saliba said during Arsenal’s title celebrations

William Saliba has been a staple figure in Arsenal’s team over recent seasons, and now he has a trophy to validate his career thus far in North London. The Frenchman has arguably enjoyed his best campaign this term, scoring once across his dominant 49 appearances in all competitions.

Many thought the imperious central defender might swap the Emirates for the Bernabeu in an upcoming window, but after signing a new long-term contract last year, that now appears unlikely. It seems even more improbable after what the player did during Arsenal’s title celebrations at Selhurst Park.

In typical fashion, Saliba was at the forefront of the party, leading chants whilst jumping up and down. After conducting his own song, the Frenchman then turned to the Sky Sports cameras and said, passionately: “I love this club.”

This wasn’t the only thing Saliba had to say on the day. He claimed that he believes Arsenal can dominate English football for years to come, while he also praised Gabriel Magalhaes’ leadership.

Clearly, this bumptious character is hugely important in maintaining good morale in Arteta’s dressing room.

Arsenal fans are emotional after William Saliba’s declaration

Fans tend to respond well to players expressing their admiration for their club, and thus, it’s no surprise that Arsenal supporters felt Saliba’s heart-warming declaration was touching.

One fan wrote on X: “Does he know how much we love him?”

Another added: “We love him more.”

Meanwhile, one supporter wrote: “Omg Saliba loves arsenal more than anything in life, he will never leave.”

Finally, one fan posited: “When Saliba said I love this club I felt it come on Arsenal.”

Saliba will get a chance to put himself into the pantheon of Arsenal greats when the Gunners play Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on Saturday.
