Ben White suffered an MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) injury in his knee during Arsenal’s latest 1-0 victory against West Ham United.

White is unavailable for Arsenal’s clash against PSG in the Champions League final, which serves as a devastating blow for the defender.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion star was especially instrumental in the Gunners’ 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final recently.

White has been a key reason behind Arsenal’s rock-solid defence and the fans paid tribute to the Englishman on X upon discovering the latest update around his fitness.

Arsenal fans hail Ben White after MCL injury news

One Arsenal fan reacted to the news around White by writing: “Quick recovery, Ben White. You came back into the squad when we needed you most and did your best. Now we’re just three wins away from glory, thanks to your efforts and contributions.”

Another supporter called on other supporters to be grateful towards the 28-year-old for playing through adversity and putting it all on the line for the badge, stating: “Ben White deserves huge respect from Arsenal fans. He has played through pressure, criticism and physical problems, yet he kept fighting for the shirt. This season-ending injury is heartbreaking.”

A third Arsenal fan was also upset about the development surrounding White, who left with a knee brace after his latest outing as he briefly wrote: “Such a shame for Ben White. Perfect squad player who always gives it everything.”

A fourth Arsenal fan hoped Jurrien Timber returns from injury while lauding White: “Gutted for Ben White. That collision gave me MCL vibes straight away because it’s how I did mine a few years back. Been a key pillar of this Arsenal side and think that might’ve been his last appearance. Let’s see how much of Timber we can glue together for PSG plus go from there.”

Another fan had a positive spin on things, considering White could leave Arsenal, writing: “It’s nice that our last proper match memory of Ben White will probably be that masterclass in the second leg against Atletico.”

Finally, a sixth supporter described the Poole-born colossus as a “cult hero”, stating: “Thank you Benjamin White for giving absolutely everything to this football club. Played through countless injuries and put it all on the line for Arsenal. Cult hero.”

The England international will at least find the positive during tough times from all the overwhelming support he has received from the Emirates faithful.

Rob Holding revealed how Ben White played through injuries

In an interview with Timbsy, Rob Holding revealed that White has played through injuries in the past.

“I don’t know how he does it.

“Mate, I have no idea. Do you know when we played Newcastle away the Amazon [Prime documentary, ‘All or Nothing’] year?

“Mate, he would’ve had a Grade Two, Grade Three easily, his hamstring was shot to hell and went out there and played. Mentality monster, mate, I don’t know how he does it. It’s mental! He could have so much pain but he’ll just trigger into game mode and play. He’s die-hard, he’ll run through a brick wall for you.”

No wonder Arsenal fans adore White because aside from being a top player, he is a true warrior on the pitch.
