Jamie Carragher predicted whether Arsenal will beat Atletico Madrid to reach the Champions League final on Tuesday.
Arsenal tore Fulham apart and their swashbuckling performance would have served as a statement to Diego Simeone’s men ahead of the contest.
Simeone raved about Arsenal as a side and the Argentine will need no reminding of how exceptional the Gunners can be on their day.
After Manchester United’s 3-2 win against Liverpool, Jamie Carragher explained why he backs Mikel Arteta’s side to emerge triumphant against the Spanish giants.

Carragher initially claimed on Sky Sports’ The Gary Neville Podcast that in his eyes, Arsenal are a superior side to Atletico Madrid, who he does not rate particularly highly anyway.
“Yeah, I think they’ll get through. I think they’re a better team than Atletico Madrid. I don’t think Madrid are that good if I’m being totally honest.”
Jamie Carragher went on to claim that aside from a spirited 20-minute spell in the second 45, Atletico Madrid were outplayed by Arsenal in the reverse fixture.
“I think even in the first leg, there’s a 20-minute spell in the second half, where either side of that, it looked like Arsenal for me were in big control.”
What Arsenal fans are planning for Champions League semi-final
Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the Liverpool legend is proven right as the North Londoners have reached the Champions League final once in their history so far.
Arsenal fans have prepared a tifo while collaborating with the club for the contest against Atletico Madrid.
With Arsenal’s home support already preparing a tifo for the occasion, the Emirates is set to provide the perfect backdrop for one of the most anticipated Champions League fixtures of the semi-final round.
The supporters did the same when Arsenal played against Sporting CP in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

The tifo read, “History in our sights” with images of Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke, Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard.
Atmosphere plays a huge role in such knockout fixtures in Europe and Arsenal could already have a leg up over Atletico Madrid because of their dedicated home support.
