Viktor Gyokeres and Harry Kane will be determined to lead Arsenal and Bayern Munich respectively to Champions League glory this season.
Gyokeres stepped up against Atletico Madrid as he dispatched a well-taken penalty to fire the Gunners into the lead in their latest 1-1 draw in the first leg of the semi-final.
Kane did the same against Paris Saint-Germain while also assisting Luis Diaz’s goal with a sensational dinked pass.
However, based on the ongoing 2025/2026 season, the 32-year-old is in a different stratosphere compared to the Arsenal marksman when comparing both players’ respective goal tallies.

Kane has scored a staggering 54 goals in all competition while Gyokeres has bagged 19. Jamal Musiala was asked to pick the better striker between the two.
Jamal Musiala picks Harry Kane over Viktor Gyokeres
Musiala was asked to stay silent by Post United until he heard a better striker’s name being mentioned in comparison to Kane.
The first name in question was Gyokeres, who has been slated for much of his time in an Arsenal shirt.
Musiala chose to stay silent, backing his Bayern Munich teammate Kane over Gyokeres.

The German midfielder justified his call as he backed the former Tottenham Hotspur superstar over other strikers as well: “I think for the striker position and what he does in his position, I don’t think there’s anyone better than him in his role.”
“I mean, [Kylian] Mbappe is always one of the best players in the world. Ousmane Dembele [also is] but he plays wing. If we’re just talking the striker position, I’m happy with Harry.”
Viktor Gyokeres claimed he is on the same level as Harry Kane
It is impossible to dispute Musiala’s claim about Kane being a better player than Gyokeres. The two-time Bundesliga winner is arguably the best striker in world football and one of the greatest goalscorers in history.
Speaking to L’Equipe in July last year, Gyokeres claimed that he belongs in the same league as Kane.
“I’m definitely one of them. It’s hard to classify me, but yes, I’m at the same table as them now. They are extraordinary players, at the top level for many years, who have proven much more than I have.
Gyokeres concluded: “For my part, I have to show that I am capable of maintaining these performances season after season. What I managed to do at Sporting, I am convinced I can achieve anywhere. You haven’t seen the best Gyokeres yet.”
