Arsenal vs Fulham: TV channel, kick-off time & how to watch

Share

Arsenal host Fulham on Saturday evening in the Premier League, as Mikel Arteta’s side look to pile the pressure on Manchester City ahead of Pep Guardiola’s team’s game away at Everton on Monday.

The Gunners moved back ahead of the Citizens last weekend when they beat Newcastle United at the Emirates. This result moved them three points clear, and they now have the opportunity to extend the gap to six points with a win over the Cottagers.

If Arteta’s outfit do manage this, it would place enormous psychological pressure on City before the trip to Everton. Guardiola’s players would travel to Merseyside knowing that anything other than a win against David Moyes’ team would put them at a significant disadvantage in the title race.

If both teams manage to win all of their remaining matches, the title will come down to goal difference. Thus, Arteta has an incentive to play a more offensive style of football in the last few weeks of the campaign.

Fortunately for the Spaniard and his players, they face a Fulham side who may still have a small chance of qualifying for Europe, but haven’t been particularly impressive in recent weeks. Aside from their victory over Aston Villa last weekend, Marco Silva’s side have been in poor form, winning just one of their previous six matches across all competitions.

To add insult to injury, Silva will be without primary playmaker Alex Iwobi, as well Ryan Sessegnon and Kevin. While Arsenal may be without Kai Havertz, they have a largely fit squad and should be capable of finding a way to beat the West Londoners.
