Several fans and pundits alike will have their eyes glued to the screens to witness a potential Premier League title decider between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The last time the two sides went toe-to-toe at the Emirates Stadium, Gabriel Martinelli’s last-gasp leveller meant the Gunners took home a point against City.
However, with the title potentially on the line, both Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta will be desperate for their respective sides to come out on top.
Thierry Henry urged Arsenal to embrace facing Manchester City as a potential victory could catapult them to bigger and better things this season.
Paul Scholes shocks Gary Neville by predicting Man City to ‘easily’ beat Arsenal
Martin Odegaard admitted he’s “desperate” to be fit and play a key role for the Gunners as the Norwegian skipper recognises that his side find themselves in the business end of the campaign.
With the North Londoners losing to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, another defeat against City could reduce the deficit between both sides to just three points, with the Sky Blues still having a game in hand.
Speaking on The Overlap’s Stick To Football podcast, Gary Neville initially predicted the game to finish 1-1 this weekend, saying: “I think it’s going to be a draw on Sunday and I think it’ll be 1-1.”
Paul Scholes disagreed, backing Manchester City to beat Arsenal by two or three goals: “I think City will win easily.”
“Just comfortable. Unless they get someone sent off or something stupid. I think they’ll win comfortably.”
“Two or three [nil].”
A stunned Gary Neville was lost for words, as he simply said: “Wow…wow!”
Arsenal’s record vs Man City at the Etihad Stadium under Mikel Arteta
The former Manchester United right-back’s reaction can be justified, considering one would expect a tightly-contested affair between the two best teams in England.
However, Paul Scholes’ claim aligns with the history of the fixture in the league at the Etihad Stadium under Mikel Arteta’s reign as Arsenal boss.

The Spaniard has lost four and drawn two out of six games against City away from home in the league.
With Manchester City being bang in form in recent weeks as well, one can consider them as favourites to get the job done on the weekend.
