Arsenal pulled off a rather significant deal during the previous summer transfer window as they took Gabriel Jesus away from Manchester City for a fee of £45m.
The Brazilian has quickly become a vital figure for Mikel Arteta and the north London club by scoring four goals and providing three assists in seven Premier League appearances.
Should Arteta feel the need to add some extra attacking strength and depth to his squad, one figure that has been linked with a move to the Emirates in the past that could fit the bill and be a dream strike partner for Jesus is Tammy Abraham.
After scoring 30 goals in 82 senior appearances for Chelsea, the striker joined Roma back in the 2021 summer transfer window in a deal worth £34m.
Since then, the Englishman has found the net 29 times in 61 appearances for the Italian club across all competitions.
To further highlight his attacking talent, the centre-forward ended his debut campaign in Serie A with more shots at goal (93) and more shots on target (32) than any other player at Roma.
Even though he’s only been at the club for just over a year, a recent report has claimed that the 24-year-old is keen on making a return to the Premier League in the near future.
This, therefore, should persuade Arsenal and Arteta to reignite their interest in the £98k-per-week player and secure a deal to bring him to the Emirates.
In terms of creating a potential partnership with Jesus, the fact that he has played out wide at times throughout his career could make it an option for the Gunners’ boss to have both him and Abraham in the same side.
Hailed as an “unbelievable” player by Jack Grealish, Abraham certainly has the attacking credentials to be an exciting addition to Arteta’s ranks.
Moving forward, if an opportunity arises to bring the former Chelsea figure back to England, Arsenal should put themselves at the front of the queue to do so.
