Arsenal are reported to be planning a move for West Ham’s attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to Football Insider.
The report claims that Mikel Arteta has made Anderson his ‘top attacking target’ this summer as he continues to build his squad ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
27-year-old Anderson joined West Ham two years ago in a deal worth around £36 million from Lazio.
The Brazilian settled into life in the Premier League immediately and scored nine goals and assisted another four in his first season in England.
However, the attacking midfielder found himself lesser used in 2019/20, only appearing in 25 league games, scoring once and assisting four times.
The report claims Anderson would be allowed to leave, although the East Lodnonders would expect the majority of that £36 million back in order for them to sanction the deal.
Anderson has played for his national team twice, although he faces very tough attacking competition to earn more caps.

Having already added countryman Willian to the ranks this term this link comes as somewhat of a surprise, however, strength in depth is always beneficial and Anderson would certainly offer that if he was signed.
This is perhaps a nod towards the length of time that the Gunners expect to be without Gabriel Martinell who continues to recover from injury.
However, given the attacking talent that Arsenal currently possess, it would be a bit of a shock if they did make a move for a player who did little to impress last season.
