Gabriel Magalhaes is an imminent arrival for the Gunners, with the official announcement all but ready to go, and as such, the future of Rob Holding is now up in the air.
Leeds United were originally said to be the favourites to sign the Englishman but reports are now emerging that Newcastle United are looking to sign him on loan for a year.
The deal is thought to already have been agreed between both clubs and is expected to be completed within the next few days.

If Holding does go out on loan, Arsenal will not receive a large fee for the 24-year-old and as such, they will not be able to use the funds to sign a marquee player such as Thomas Partey.
Some fans may be happy that Holding is not leaving the club on a permanent basis as he is still only 24-years-old and if he continues to develop, he could be a big part of the future under Mikel Arteta, yet the reported £20 million fee that Holding was worth could have played a big part in getting some more deals done in the transfer window.
Holding’s departure could be the first of many departures from the London club in the next few weeks, with Arteta seemingly looking to clear out a few players who he feels aren’t worth keeping around, for whatever reason.
