Thiago Alcantara has just won the Champions League title with his current club Bayern Munich, but he has made it clear that he is going to leave the German side this summer, and it looks like Arsenal have joined Liverpool both in showing an interest in the player.
Over the last few days, Arsenal have seemingly increased their interest in signing the midfielder and according to French journalist Patrick Moreau, Mikel Arteta made direct contact to Thiago with a phone call pitching his ideas and the Arsenal project for the next few years.
Thiago has apparently already made his mind up on where he is going to play his football next season, with Liverpool being the favourites, but it looks like Arsenal are not completely out of the equation yet due to him being impressed with Arteta’s project.

Arsenal may find a personal agreement difficult to agree on due to the midfielder being on high wages, thought to be over £120,000 and he could demand even more.
Thiago would be a massive addition to Arteta’s side as he is one of the best midfield players in world football. Not only is he solid defensively but he is also a very creative player and Arsenal could do with some more creativity in the middle of the park.
