Arsenal Join Race To Sign Emmanuel Dennis

Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis, according to a report on Caught Offside.

The Gunners are apparently amongst a host of suitors including European clubs Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and Inter Milan. Whilst Premier League rivals both Everton and Leeds United are reportedly interested in the Nigerian’s services too

Mikel Arteta is seemingly keen on bolstering his attacking options, adding to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the potential departure of Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

Dennis has managed 19 goals in 71 appearances since joining the Belgian side in 2017, including nine goals and registering two assists during the 2019/20 campaign.

Despite the rumoured interest from officials at the Emirates, it remains to be seen whether the club would be willing to meet Brugge’s reported £36 million valuation of their star.

Dennis already has two Nigeria caps to his name after making his debut in 2019.

The powerful striker may not boast the best goalscoring record available on the market, however, he is a powerful forward who is capable of bringing others into the game.

At the age of just 22, there is also plenty of scope for improvement and given his current clubs stature in the game it would be imminently possible to attract him to the Premier League.

Given that Arsenal have a decent amount of veteran forwards, signing a young back-up like Dennis would make sense as Arteta looks to bolster his squad.
