Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a bid to sign Arsenal winger Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
Maitland-Niles was a utility man for the Gunners last season, playing games at full-back, wing-back, in midfield and on the wing and it’s his versatility that is apparently appealing to Jose Mourinho.
The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal are willing to listen to offers of around £20million for the 22-year-old as he’s not a part of Mikel Arteta’s plans going forwards.

If Arteta doesn’t facny keeping Maitland-Niles, for whatever reason, then selling him this summer does make sense.
However, selling a player to Tottenham is something that the Gunners shouldn’t even consider as strengthening not only a local rival but a rival in terms of battling for a top-four finish seems absurd.
Maitland-Niles is a good player and if he is available, then the Gunners should look to move him on to another side and not to Spurs.
