Arsenal are closing in on the transfer of Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes according to journalist Duncan Castles.
The Brazilian centre-back is now due to undergo a medical with the Gunners before completing his transfer to the Premier League club.
The fee is believed to be around €25million for the 22-year-old who impressed in his first full season with the French Ligue 1 club.

It looks as though the Gunners have beaten off competition from the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Napoli for Gabriel’s signature as new boss Mikel Arteta begins to strengthen his playing staff at the Emirates.
Despite an FA Cup final victory, Arsenal fans will not have been happy with the season as a whole as they finished eighth in the Premier League table, their lowest finish for 25 years.
Whilst Arsenal look fairly strong in attacking areas, their defensive options still look suspect and hopefully for Gunners’ fans, Gabriel will be able to come in and address this glaring issue in Arteta’s side.
