Aubameyang set to sign a two-year contract extension with Arsenal

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will sign a new contract with The Gunners, according to a report from The Telegraph.

The Gabonese striker recently teased Arsenal fans on twitter with a tweet of an hourglass, which came two days after he was seen to be having a red and white themed party at his house with his family, leaving fans thinking it will just be a matter of time until the news of his contract extension surfaces.

Aubameyang was named Arsenal’s Player of the Season, winning the vote with over 70% of fans voting for him. This was a well-deserved award after he scored 29 goals in all competitions, including 22 in the Premier League.

Arsenal’s star man is set to sign a new two-year extension to his current contract, keeping him at the club until the end of 2023. The deal is reportedly worth approximately £250,000 a week.

This news will undoubtedly leave most Arsenal fans delighted but also relieved as things could have looked very differently at the club without the Gabonese international’s goals.

It’s been a rocky road to this point but it looks like Arsenal fans can now look forward to seeing their star man in action for an additional two years.
