Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could still stay at Arsenal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been tipped to leave the Emirates this summer, could now be staying at Arsenal, as per a report from Spanish outlet Sport, as cited by the Evening Standard.
Talks between the Gabonese striker had the Gunners about a contract extension had apparently been halted, which meant he would likely be sold this summer, rather than Arsenal losing him for free when his current deal expires in 2021.
A wide ranger of clubs such as Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United had been linked with moves for the Arsenal captain, but those clubs, plus any other interested parties, could find themselves disappointed if this latest report is accurate.
Aubameyang is apparently tired of waiting for potential contract offers from those clubs with an interest in him and as such, he’s apparently willing to put pen-to-paper on a new contract with Arsenal.

Losing Aubameyang would be a huge blow for Arsenal, but if he won’t sign a new contract, they’ll have little choice than to sell him this summer.
Ideally, these reports will be true and the former Borussia Dortmund star will commit his future to the club.
Mikel Arteta has already endured an eventful start to life as the manager of Arsenal and keeping Aubameyang would be a huge bonus for the Spaniard, who seemingly has a lot of issues to negate over the coming months.
