A number of Arsenal fans have reacted to an update on target Dayot Upamecano’s future heading into the summer transfer window.
RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche says that Leipzig are unlikely to get a fee of €60m for Upamecano, which was their initial valuation of the centre-back.
Speaking to Kicker, he said:
At least this summer such sums are unlikely, you have to honestly say so.
This confirms that Leipzig are open to selling Upamecano for a cheaper fee this summer, possibly giving Arsenal the chance to secure a deal for the French defender in the coming months.
The 21-year-old has impressed in the Bundesliga this season and Arsenal could now look to take advantage of his contract situation and make a move for him ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
He has averaged a WhoScored rating of 7.23 in the Bundesliga, as well as 7.30 in the Champions League. The Frenchman has been a brick wall at the back and performed to a high standard. These Arsenal fans reacted to the update on his future.
