Arsenal and Tottenham have potentially been boosted in their quests to sign Jonjoe Kenny this summer.
The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Schalke from Everton, where he has scored once and registered three assists this season.
Recent reports have claimed that Kenny wants to remain in Germany for another year, despite interest from Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea.
Schalke may struggle to fund that deal, however, according to Bild, giving the Gunners some hope that they could still sign him.

I think Kenny could be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal, offering depth and quality from right-back.
He could rival Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the battle for playing time, and at 23, his peak years should still be ahead of him.
Much may depend on whether Everton want to sell Kenny permanently, however, with Seamus Coleman ageing and Djibril Sidibe only on loan at Goodison Park.
Kenny is the type of player who could improve Arsenal in a defensive sense, though, averaging 1.5 tackles per game in the league this season, which is more than Bellerin (1.4) and inferior only to Maitland-Niles (2.3) among the Gunners’ full-backs.
