Arsenal are continuing to monitor Layvin Kurzawa’s situation at PSG as they prepare a summer swoop for the defender.
According to 90Min, Arsenal are still tracking Kurzawa and are hoping to land him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The report claims that Arsenal almost signed Kurzawa in the January transfer window before backing out of the deal in order to wait until the summer to sign him for free.
If Arsenal are able to snap Kurzawa up on a free, it could open the door for the club to cash in on Sead Kolasinac. The Bosnian has struggled for form this season and it could be best for all parties involved to move him on.
Kolasinac has recorded a dismal WhoScored rating of 6.49 for his performances in the Premier League for Arsenal, with 17 appearances to his name.
This shows that he has not been good enough for the Gunners in defence, whilst Kurzawa – on the other hand – has impressed for PSG. The Frenchman has managed a WhoScored rating of 7.06 starting at left-back in Ligue 1, suggesting that he could be a sizeable upgrade on Kolasinac.
Signing Kurzawa on a free and upgrading a key area of the squad whilst then being able to make money by selling Kolasniac sounds ideal on paper.
Although, a deal may depend on who wants to buy Kolasinac and whether or not Kurzawa opts to sign with Arsenal. If all the pieces fall into place, though, it could be a great deal for the Gunners.
